Trek Fosters 3 Peak Challenge

Robert and Tony Foster would like to thank everyone that has been generous enough to sponsor them in their trek to climb the Yorkshire Three Peaks in under 12 hours. On the weekend of 4th / 5th May 2013 Robert and Tony will be took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for us.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is a circular route that starts at Horton-in-Ribbledale climbs the mountains of Pen-y–Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. The route is about 24miles (39kms) in length and involves 5000 feet (1600 metres) of vertical ascent. The target time was to complete the route within 12 hours.

“Hooray!!!!! We’ve done it!!!!Despite atrocious weather conditions we completed in 9 hours 36 minutes. We even had snow at the top of Ingleborough but the worst challenge was the wet and mud making it very challenging to keep upright at times.

However we were kept going by the thought of Hannah’s charity benifiting from your donations and so allowing teenagers going through cancer treatment to enjoy some good times. In addition to the fundraising site our total is increased by further donations offline and we have currently raised at least £1200 with more to come. WE THANK YOU ALL xx”

You can still sponsor their amazing achievement here: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-web/fundraiser/showFundraiserProfilePage.action?userUrl=Foster3Peaks&isTeam=true

Battle of the Sexes Calendar 2014

We’re really planning a head a little here we know but we’re looking for sponsors to support out Battle of the Sexes calendars 2014. We’ll be creating two calendars one full of handsome men and one full of some gorgeous girlies – all members of team THCF and great friends of the charity.

In order to make it an amazing success we’re looking for local or not so local companies to sponsor each month. It’s a brilliant opportunity to get your companies logo and website in front of hundreds of local people for an entire month. It costs just £50 for sponsorship in either the boys and girls calendar or £90 for both.

Spaces are filling up fast so get in touch now to ensure your spot is secured. Email georgina@thcf.org.uk for a sponsorship form and any more information!

We look forward to hearing from you :)

The Great South Run

We would like to say a huge thank you to Olivia Harrill and Lesley Deathers for raising £105.00 for our charity by running the Great South Run in October 2012. The girls completed six months training prior to the event which enabled them to achieve a great time of 2 hours and 11 minutes.

We are very grateful to both girls for all their hard work and effort.

Thank you for choosing to raise money for The Hannah Chamberlain Foundation :-)

Donations

We’ve been asked by so many people how they can donate online and after quite a few forms we’ve set up our Virgin Giving Money Page.

To avoid any confusion I thought I’d add that it’s just like a ‘Just Giving’ page but we’ve chosen to set our page up via Virgin as they are a not for profit company and we wanted as many pennies as possible to go directly to the charity.

Via this page you can set up a monthly donation, start a fundraising page or donate a one off payment.

We’re really excited about this and no matter how big or small your fundraising activity we’d love for you to do it for THCF and hopefully this page makes that a whole lot easier.

If you have any problems or queries please just drop me an email georgina@thcf.org.uk

thanks

Georgina and team THCF
